The PGA Championship 2020 – Who to look out for

The Intro

The PGA Championship is the first major of the pandemic year and all of us cannot wait to see a scrap out there! Harding Park looks to be in fine shape with many of the world’s best in a similar position regarding form. JT coming off a win, Koepka finding some form and Tiger, well he is ready to pull something out the bag! Seeing as it is a major, I am sure you all won’t mind extending the picks to 5 instead of the usual 4…

The Must Have Picks

Our first two picks consist of those who are in form and are almost certain to compete, therefore we look at Brooks Koepka and Justin Thomas. I am sure we are going to see much of the same as what we saw last week at the FedEx St Jude…. Koepka absolutely loves a PGA Championship and so does JT. I am leaning slightly towards JT due to the mastery he showed on and around the greens! With a solid short game intact, you won’t be penalised as severely when missing the short stuff. Koepka lives for a Major, so there is absolutely no way of writing him off.

The third pick goes to the Wolff! This guy can get hot and there is just something about the way he conducts himself on the course that suggests he will make a lot of birdies. By harnessing that power and limiting the damage, he will surely rack up some major championships!

British pick for this week will go to Hatton. Tyrrell has built a formidable pedigree and is definitely on route to a major in his near future. Tyrrell loves a scrap out there and has the stone to come out on top. Most of us have mistaken his fiery side as a setback instead of fuel towards his success… Get this major under his belt, and the world will become his oyster!

The Outsider

Long shot pick of the week is a tough one seeing as it is a major… A large majority of the entrants have the game and the experience to pull a W out the bag. Someone coming to mind as a long shot yet hits it farther than that is Cameron Champ… Champ has been quietly going about his business and gained some valuable experience out on Tour. It would not be too surprising if Champ was to break through this week and catapult his career up to the next stage as a major contender!
